On Wednesday, February 22, Josai Branch International Open Seminar “Pacific Island Countries and Japan are important partners who share the Pacific Ocean” was held by online hosted by the Tokyo Small and Medium Enterprise Management Consultant. This seminar focused on the Pacific Islands region, which is attracting increasing attention recently and PIC gave a lecture on these areas in response to a request as the only public organization related to this region.

In the two-hour seminar, which was separated from the first and second parts, Deputy Director gave introduction of PIC’s activities, the overview of the Pacific Island region, the characteristics of the Pacific Island countries in terms of economy, culture, and history as well as explanation of current situation in the fields of trade, investment and tourism. During the Q&A session, the participants asked many questions.
