From 5th November, an open course "Histories and cultures of Pacific Islands" was held 3 times  over 3 weeks jointly by Meiji University and PIC at the Academy Common of Meiji University Surugadai Campus. 

In each session , Mr. Kurosaki, PIC Deputy Director, served as the lecturer and took up the natures and the histories of Melanesia, Polynesia, and Micronesia including the modern history of each country in those regions every week. 

20 students actively attended each session and learned about the unique natures and cultures of the Pacific island countries.
