On June 29, three employees (two newly hired) from Kyowa Shipping Co., Ltd. visited PIC as a part of their employee training. Ms. Takada, the PIC Promotional Coordinator, gave them a basic course of lectures on the historical, political, and economic situations of the Pacific Island region as well as relationship with Japan and international communities.
The lecture also included PIC’s daily work promoting business in the region, and the outline of the 8th "Japan-Pacific Islands Leader’s Meeting" to be held next year in Iwaki.
This lecture course seemed quite successful, as every attendee was very eager to listen and asked a lot of questions.
Kyowa Shipping Co., Ltd. was established in 1974 and is an international shipping business operating regular liners between Japan and Pacific Island countries such as the Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, Papua New Guinea, etc. for more than 40 years.
