We are delighted to announce that PIC is organizing the webinar ‘The current economy in Fiji after Covid-19, and advise for Japanese businesses on the future trade and investment’ on July 31th (video record will be available after the seminar) , with the support of JETRO and the cooperation of Investment Fiji and ADB.
This online seminar is held as a follow-up seminar for Japanese businesses which participated in Japan-Fiji Business Mission in February 2020. Any business who are interested in doing business in Fiji are welcomed to join.
While Covid-19 has been rampant across the world, pacific island countries successfully prevent infections by taking actions such as border control, and most counties attempted to be corona-free areas. Nevertheless, traffic of people and commodities has stopped, having a significant impact on economy of each country.
This time, we invite Mr. Craig Strong, CEO of Investment Fiji, to present on ‘the current economy in Fiji after Covid-19, and advice for Japanese businesses on the future trade and investment’ for those who already/are going to have business connection with Fiji. In the second part, we are going invite Mr. Masayuki Tachiiri, Regional Director of Asian Development Bank, to talk about current situation of 7 pacific islands and activities of ADB, and potential business opportunities for Japanese companies.
