The Honorable Atarake Nataara, Minister of Commerce, Industry & Co-operatives of the Republic of Kiribati visited PIC to share each other’s views.

On June 10 (Mon), 2019, the Honorable Atarake Nataara, Minister of Commerce, Industry & Co-operatives and Ambassador Kiribati Tessie Eria Lambourne (resides in the Republic of China) visited PIC and exchanged views on relationship between Kiribati and Japan as well as approaches for bilateral trade expansion.

“Christmas Island Salt” is a famous product of Kiribati, however, Kiribati has other products such as coconut oil and coconut syrup. As they had a firm intention to encourage Japanese people to try those wholesome products, PIC suggested them to participate in the exhibitions; an effective opportunity to introduce Pacific Islands’ products to Japan.

PIC also recommended them to transmit attractive information of Kiribati in the field of trade, investment and tourism as a crucial strategy for developing business in the future, while expressing its determination for further collaboration and future cooperation on delivering message and information on Kiribati as much as possible.
