The Pacific Islands Centre (PIC) exhibited at “Beautyworld Japan 2026” (the 29th edition), one of Japan’s largest comprehensive beauty trade fairs, held at Tokyo Big Sight from May 18 to 20, 2026.
This year, Fiji, Vanuatu, Tonga, PNG and Palau exhibited at the PIC booth, with company staff from the participating island nations visiting Japan to promote their products directly at the booth.
The number of visitors to the exhibition exceeded 68,000 during the event, making it a bustling success. Many people visited the PIC booth, where lively exchanges of information took place regarding products from the island nations and business opportunities in the region. Over the three days, all participating companies were able to establish contacts with Japanese businesses.
We would like to thank all the stakeholders who visited our booth during the event.

Although this trade fair was held in Tokyo, we are currently planning a virtual trade fair utilizing metaverse technology for the second half of this year. The virtual trade fair is scheduled to be held with the cooperation of Vartique Co., Ltd. In addition to the brands exhibiting this time, beauty-related companies from a wider range of Pacific Island nations—including those that were unable to visit Japan due to various circumstances—will gather in the virtual space to promote their products and explain the unique characteristics of their respective countries. We hope you’ll look forward to it! (Details will be announced at a later date.)
