On Tuesday, April 28, PIC visited the Embassy of the Kingdom of Tonga in Japan and held a meeting with Ambassador Suka Mangisi. During the Director’s presentation of the Work Plan for fiscal year 2026, the topic of Tongan company exhibiting at Beautyworld Tokyo Japan 2026 in May was raised.

In addition, the two sides exchanged views on the 11th Pacific Islands Leaders Meeting (PALM11) scheduled for next year, as well as the Interim Ministerial Meetings planned to be held in a Pacific Island Country prior to the PALM11.

They agreed to strengthen their cooperative relationship across a wide range of fields, including trade and investment centered on fisheries, as well as personnel exchanges and employment, including sports exchanges such as rugby.
