On Thursday, April 2, 2026, the Director of Pacific Islands Center (PIC) held a meeting with Hon. David Paul, Minister of Finance, Banking and Postal Services of Republic of the Marshall Islands, who was visiting Japan at the invitation of The Association for Promotion of International Cooperation (APIC), and other officials.

The PIC Director provided an overview of the organization and explained the PIC’s initiatives connecting Japan and Pacific Island Countries, with a particular focus on projects relevant to the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The Minister offered various comments, and it was agreed that cooperation would continue to move these projects forward.
