On March 24, 2026, a visit was paid to the Embassy of the Independent State of Samoa in Japan, during which appreciation was conveyed to H.E. Ms. Faalavaau Perina Jacqueline Sila‑Tualaulelei, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Independent State of Samoa to Japan, for her contributions to the relations between Japan and Samoa.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on the importance of further advancing the friendly relations between the two countries, and both sides agreed to continue promoting enhanced cooperation across a broad range of fields.

The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, with constructive and forward‑looking discussions on deepening Japan–Samoa cooperation.
