Radiant Technologies Launches Energy-Sharing Service in Vanuatu — Official Opening Ceremony Held in Port Vila for New Joint Venture Established by Three Japanese Companies —

On March 2, 2026, Radiant Technologies Inc. (RT), a newly established energy-sharing service provider, held its official launch ceremony in Port Vila, the capital of the Republic of Vanuatu. The Deputy Director of PIC attended the event on behalf of the organization.

RT was founded by three Japanese companies—Toshiba Corporation, Vanguard Industries Inc., and Kyowa Shipping Co., Ltd.—with the goal of delivering stable electricity supply to unelectrified communities across Pacific Island countries.

The ceremony began with an official declaration of the service launch delivered by RT President Mr. Yamanaka. This was followed by a presentation from Director Mr. Suzuki, who outlined the project’s background and its transition into the new business framework. The Minister for Climate Change of Vanuatu, Hon. Regenvanu, and H.E. Ambassador Okuda of Japan each offered congratulatory remarks. Additional speeches were later delivered by attending stakeholders.

This initiative has taken approximately six years from the initial conceptual stage to the establishment of the new company and the commencement of its services. We extend our sincere respect to all who contributed to its realization. The efforts of Radiant Technologies mark an important step toward improving energy access in Pacific Island nations, and we look forward to the company’s continued growth and positive impact in the region.
