PIC Director Saito took the opportunity of attending the PIC Board Meeting held in Suva on February 5 and the PTI Network Independent Advisory Board Meeting held in Auckland on February 11 to meet with public and private sector stakeholders in Fiji, New Zealand, and Japan.

In Fiji, he met with the Investment Fiji, the Pacific Tourism Organization, and local agricultural and fisheries processors. In New Zealand, he met with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and representatives of the Māori product sales platform.

Building on the outcomes of this trip, we will be launching new initiatives in the new fiscal year to expand business between Japan and Pacific Island Countries.
