On Thursday, February 18, Hon. Rhonda Tiakia Tomailuga, Member of the Niue Legislative Assembly, who is visiting Japan under the Strategic Practitioner Invitation Program, visited Pacific Islands Center (PIC).

PIC provided an overview of its general activities in Pacific Island Countries and explained initiatives to expand trade, investment, and tourism between Japan and Niue. These included exhibiting Niuean products at FOODEX Japan and dispatching influencers. Hon. Tiakia expressed gratitude for PIC’s series of support projects for Niue and outlined various measures to revitalize Niue’s domestic economy.

It was agreed that future business exchanges between Japan and Niue would continue to be coordinated in collaboration with the Honorary Consulate of Niue in Japan.
