On Friday, 6 February 2026, Deputy Director of Pacific Islands Centre (PIC) held a courtesy meeting of approximately 30 minutes with the Hon. Tuisawau, Fiji’s Minister for Public Works, Meteorological Services and Transport who was visiting Japan at the invitation of the Association for the Promotion of International Cooperation (APIC).

During the meeting, PIC provided an overview of its organizational mandate and exchanged views on PIC’s initiatives aimed at strengthening ties between Japan and Pacific Island Countries. Particular attention was given to projects and areas of cooperation relevant to Fiji.
