On Thursday, January 22, 2026, PIC visited the Embassy of the Federated States of Micronesia in Japan and met with Ambassador John Fritz and Deputy Chief of Mission Yoriko Nanpei.

During this meeting, we had a frank exchange of views on various projects aimed at expanding business with Japan across a wide range of fields, including agriculture and fisheries, energy, information and communications, and tourism. Additionally, commemorative projects for the Federated States of Micronesia, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary of independence this November, were discussed, along with cooperation between the Embassy and PIC.

Both parties agreed to continue working together to concretize the various projects discussed during the meeting.
