On Monday, November 10, The Pacific Island Leaders Meeting & Governors (PALM & G) Meeting of the Officials (FY2025) was held in Kobe City, and PIC Director Saito participated.

Representatives from PALM&G member prefectures and Pacific Island Countries’ embassies in Japan attended, along with observers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, JICA and PIC.

Active discussions were held to strengthen ties between Japanese local governments and Pacific Island Countries through people-to-people exchanges and cooperative projects, focusing on healthcare, sports, and youth exchange.
