On October 2, 2025, the Solomon Islands National Day official event was held at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, and the Pacific Islands Center (PIC) attended as an invited guest.

The official ceremony took place at the EXPO National Day Hall “Ray Garden.” First, Parliamentary State Secretary for Foreign Affairs Akiko Ikuina delivered a welcome address. Next, Peter Shanel Agovaka, Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade of Solomon Islands, gave a speech on behalf of the Solomon Islands delegation. This was followed by a performance of Solomon Islands creative theater and traditional dance.

After the ceremony, a luncheon was held at the Guest House within the Expo grounds, attended by the Solomon Islands delegation and official Japanese guests.

Afterwards, the luncheon participants toured the Solomon Islands exhibition hall in Commons A Building , concluding the program.
