On September 27–28, 2025, PIC participated in the international cooperation event “Global Festa JAPAN 2025,” held at Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Triangle Square, marking its fifth consecutive year of participation. The event attracted a large number of exhibitors and visitors, creating a lively atmosphere.

This year, PIC’s booth was supported by four international students from the JICA SDGs Global Leaders Program, providing an active platform for exchange with visitors who had lived in Pacific Island countries or who expressed strong interest in the region. (Related article: please click here）

In addition, for the first time, PIC introduced VR experience using footage filmed under the Pacific Discovery Project (PDP), a tourism promotion initiative. Through VR, visitors were able to immerse themselves in the pristine beauty of the Pacific Islands—their seas, skies, and untouched nature—in a way that goes beyond photos and videos. The experience was well received, offering many the opportunity to feel a closer connection to the Pacific.
