〔Supported by PIC〕【The 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Papua New Guinea】 Participation in the Opening Ceremony of the 42nd Special Exhibition at the Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Archaeology: “PAPUA × JOMON – Exploring the Mysteries of Jomon Culture through the Ethnography of Papua New Guinea”

On September 26, prior to the official opening of the 42nd Special Exhibition “PAPUA × JOMON – Exploring the Mysteries of Jomon Culture through the Ethnography of Papua New Guinea” (to be held from September 27, 2025), the opening ceremony took place at the Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Archaeology. PIC attended the ceremony as a supporting organization, together with two interns from Papua New Guinea.

The exhibition also features artifacts related to Papua New Guinea that are part of PIC’s collection and have been loaned to the museum. In addition, visitors can purchase products related to Papua New Guinea at the museum lobby.
