On September 4, 2025, Marshall Islands National Day was celebrated at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, with Pacific Islands Centre (PIC) attending as an invited guest.

The official ceremony took place at the Expo National Day Hall “Rei Garden.” H.E. Koji Haneda, Commissioner General of the 2025 World Exposition in Japan, delivered a welcome address, followed by remarks from Hon. Jess Gasper Jr., Minister of Culture and Internal Affairs of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, representing the visiting delegation. The ceremony also featured a traditional Marshallese dance performance.

 Subsequently, a luncheon was hosted at the Expo Guest House, where members of the Marshall Islands delegation and official guests from Japan engaged in exchanges on the history and longstanding ties between the two countries.
