The event details are as follows.
The 8th seminar, titled “Tourism growing with coral reefs – Learning from Palau about the forefront of sustainable tourism development,” will feature speakers from Palau, a country that has long been of great interest to participants. A marketing representative from the Palau Visitors Authority, which is responsible for disseminating tourism information about Palau, formulating tourism policies, and collaborating with communities, will introduce initiatives related to sustainable tourism development and responsible tourism practices. Additionally, Ms. Ito, a graphic designer at the Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC), a non-profit organization engaged in research, education, and awareness-raising activities related to the ocean and coral reefs, will introduce efforts to restore coral reefs and trials of collaboration with the tourism industry.
With direct flights to Japan set to begin on October 29, traveling to Palau will become more convenient. We encourage you to take this opportunity to learn about the latest tourism trends in Palau and the potential for sustainable tourism.
