On Wednesday, July 30, PIC Director Saito gave a lecture at “The Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) – Japan Business Forum” hosted by the Department of Resources and Development of the Federated States of Micronesia at the Main Building of the AST College in Osaka City.

This forum was held as part of the FSM’s National Day Commemoration Ceremony event scheduled for the following day at the Osaka Kansai Expo site. More than 100 people attended, including President Wesley W. Simina and other federal and state government officials, Ambassador John Fritz and other officials of the FSM Embassy in Japan, and people of the Japanese private companies, mainly from the Kansai region.

Director Saito gave a presentation titled “The Role of the Pacific Islands Center in the Federated States of Micronesia” on the activities of the PIC and the current status and prospects of business between Japan and the FSM and the PIC’s support.
