As part of our ongoing internship initiative for students from Pacific Island Countries, which began in FY2022, Pacific Islands Centre (PIC) hosted its third round of interns this year.

Interns are currently studying for Master’s or Doctoral course at Japanese universities or postgraduate school through the JICA SDG Global Leader Programme. This time, two students from Samoa and Papua New Guinea joined PIC on July 24 and 25 to learn about PIC’s activities and to strengthen future collaboration and networking.

During their internship, the students visited several companies and organizations engaged in business with Pacific Island countries, where they engaged in lively and productive discussions. We sincerely thank all the companies and organizations that graciously welcomed our interns. PIC is planning to host the second group of interns for this year in September.
