The following seminar will be jointly organized by JICA, JOGMEC and the PNG Government. All interested parties are welcome to attend.
We are pleased to inform you that, in conjunction with Prime Minister Marape’s visit to Japan, JICA and JOGMEC will co-host a seminar with Ok Tedi Mining Limited on the mining sector in Papua New Guinea.
Papua New Guinea is rich in mineral resources and has been supplying copper ore to Japan for over 40 years, particularly from the Ok Tedi mine. Further mine development is planned for the future.
This seminar is a unique opportunity to hear from Prime Minister Marape and the Minister for State Enterprises about the current state and future plans of PNG’s mining sector.
