On Friday, July 11, 2025, we visited Embassy of the Republic of the Marshall Islands in Japan and met with Ambassador Bing. PIC Director Saito explained the completion of the “Pacific Island Countries Economic Recovery Project,” the survey report conducted under this project and its contents, as well as the achievements of the online seminar implemented. Additionally, Mr. Saito provided an overview and effects of the ongoing tourism promotion project, “Pacific Discovery Project.

Furthermore, the Ambassador mentioned that improving access to RMI from international markets is essential for RMI’s future economic growth and expressed the desire for direct flights or charter flights from Japan. Additionally, we had a broad exchange of opinions on future initiatives in the fields of tourism, fisheries, and agriculture.
