On Thursday, January 23, PIC participated in the “Japan Exporters Meeting” hosted by the Vanuatu Department of External Trade. Twelve Vanuatu companies that are considering exporting their products to Japan participated in the meeting, reaffirming the high level of interest in exporting to Japan.
The meeting started with an opening remark by the Vanuatu Department of External Trade, followed by self-introductions by the Embassy of Japan in Vanuatu, the Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the companies. Then the Vanuatu Department of External Trade gave a presentation on “Insights from Japan-Vanuatu Trade Study,” followed by the Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce and Industry on “Key Business Events in Japan 2025”. Finally, the PIC made a presentation on “PIC activities and how we can support Vanuatu companies” and encouraged them to register on “JAPAN-PACIFIC e-Business”, a business matching website to promote investment and trade between Japan and Pacific Island Countries. The meeting provided an opportunity for a lively exchange of ideas for participating companies wishing to export to Japan.
PIC will continue to closely communicate with relevant organizations and provide information that will be helpful to the companies considering overseas expansion.
