On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, we visited the Embassy of the Independent State of Samoa in Japan and met with Ambassador Sila-Tualaulelei and other officials. The PIC Director explained PIC’s trade and investment facilitation and tourism promotion activities between Japan and Samoa, including the “Pacific Island Countries Economic Recovery Support Project”.

Ambassador Sila suggested that PIC staff directly approached local companies as well as chambers of commerce and industry to enhance the “PACIFIC-JAPAN e-BUSINESS”, a business matching platform launched last month, so the two parties will continue discussions.
