PIC Director Saito visited Tonga (Nuku’alofa) and Fiji (Laotoka, Nadi anSuva) after attending the 5th PTI Network Independent Advisory Board Meeting held in Auckland on October 12.

In Tonga, he met the Ministry of Trade and Economic Development, the Ministry of Fisheries, and other relevant ministries, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He also visited a major local agricultural farm. He exchanged opinions with relevant officials and persons in the private sector regarding exports of agricultural and fishery products to Japan and business investments by Japanese companies.

In Fiji, in addition to attending the 25th PIC Governing Board Meeting, he visited companies related to fishery products, cacao, and cosmetics to hold discussions on new entry into the Japanese market and other issues.
