On Friday, July 28, 2023, “Event on Promoting Businesses Development Solving Social Issues in Pacific Island Countries” (hosted by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI)) was held at Mita Kyoyo Kaigisho.

The event was divided into two parts. The first part began with a speech by Mr. Nishimura, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, followed by 10-minute presentations by related organizations, in which PIC Director, Mr. Saito also took the stage using materials and spoke mainly about advice for doing business in Pacific Island Countries and incentives for making investments. In the second part, a lively exchange took place among the participating companies, related organizations such as PIC and embassies of Pacific Island Countries in Tokyo, providing a good opportunity to explore the possibilities for future business development of Japanese companies in the Pacific Island Countries.
