PIC welcomed 5 students from the Pacific Island Countries for an internship program in the first attempt on September 30. They joined activities of PIC during a couple of days.

These interns are studying at master/doctor’s  courses at universities in Japan under JICA SDGs Global Leader Program. This time, students from Fiji, PNG, Marshall Islands, and Tonga joined the internship program at PIC.

They attended the PIC booth at Global Festa(Tokyo International Forum) on October 1 and 2, explaining Pacific Island Countries to Japanese visitors and collecting answers for a questionnaire. The interns also visited Japanese companies and organizations to interact with staff to learn their business and activities in the Pacific Island Countries.

The companies/organizations they visited are as follows:

We highly appreciated above mentioned companies and organizations as well as JICA and JICE for their cooperation on this internship program.
