PIC organized an online seminar titled “Pacific Islands Journey ~ Tuvalu~ ” with over 90 registered participants on 30 July 2021. This seminar has been certified as a commemorative project for the 9th Pacific Islands Leaders Meeting(PALM9)to be held this summer.
Followed by the opening remarks by Honorary Consulate General Hisataka Endo, JICA representative made a presentation on attractiveness and challenges/issues of Tuvalu in addition to general information and the South Pacific Life Researcher gave a lecture on Tuvalu’s life and culture showing movie/pictures. At the last part, on behalf of Kakogawa City, PIC introduced their effort as Tuvalu host town in Tokyo 2020.
