Valued overseas viewers,
I am pleased to inform you of a major renovation to our English website. It’s our aim to improve our new English website in a manner accessible and easy-to-use by overseas viewers so you can make good use of various information and diversely promote your business between Pacific Island Countries/Territories (PICT) and Japan. It’s my hope that the new English website will contribute to enhancing trade, investment and tourism between those countries/territories.
PIC is focusing on its internationalization for the purpose of having business people in PICT further acknowledge PIC’s activities and use PIC as a reliable assistant to enter into the Japanese market and expand their ongoing transactions. In line with this direction we will also start publishing an English mail magazine (“Pacific Breeze”) regularly from this month.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, face to face meetings with Pacific Islanders, as well as domestically, were severely restricted, yet we’ve kept in frequent contact by regularly utilizing new technology such as ZOOM and TEAMS. Last Friday (July 17), we opened our first webinar, the Papua New Guinea (PNG) Business Webinar, with about 150 participants in cooperation with PNG’s Investment Promotion Authority. We plan to hold another business webinar about Fiji at the end of this month.
PIC is prepared to tackle difficult business circumstances surrounding PICT as well as Japan due to the coronavirus pandemic and makes utmost effort to assist those business people in promoting trade, investment and tourism between PICT and Japan.
I would appreciate it very much if you could continue to support to our efforts.
Sincerely yours,
Ryuzo Saito
Director
