交流事業流事業Exchange Programxchange Program 「貿易」「投資」「観光」といった分野の取り組みを促進するには、日本・島嶼国間の相互理解が重要な要素となってきます。PICでは、相互理解を深めるため、双方向の様々な分野における交流事業を行なっています。 In order to promote trade, investment and tourism, mutual understanding between Japan and the island countries is also an important factor. PIC conducts people-to-people exchange programs in various sectors to deepen mutual understanding. Pacic Islanders Clubとは、日本と太平洋島嶼国との友好・親善、経済協力、投資、貿易、観光の促進を図る仕事に携わる人々が所属組織や肩書きに関係なく、メンバー間で相互に情報提供を行ないながら、太平洋島嶼国との協力関係の強化を目的として結成された団体で、PICはPacic Islanders Clubの事務局を担っております。 本クラブの中心的な活動として、日本と太平洋島嶼国との経済協力分野や友好・親善に携わる人々のネットワーク構築の場として「Pacic Islanders Club 懇談会」を年に数回開催し、この懇談会で、太平洋島嶼地域に長年関わっておられる有識者の方（大学教授・外交官・企業関係者など）を講演者として招き、太平洋島嶼国に関する様々なテーマ（観光促進、環境問題、貿易投資政策、各国の政治概況など）についての講義をいただいております。 The Pacic Islanders Club was formed for the purpose of strengthening cooperative relations between Japan and the Pacic Island Countries by providing information to each other among members, regardless of their organizations or titles, who are engaged in promoting friendship, goodwill, economic cooperation, investment, trade and tourism between Japan and the Pacic Island Countries. Pacic Islands Centre serves as the secretariat of the Pacic Islanders Club. The main activity of the club is to hold the "Pacic Islanders Club Meeting" several times a year as a place to build a network of people involved in the eld of economic cooperation, friendship and goodwill between Japan and the Pacic Island Countries. At these meetings, experts (university professors, diplomats, business people, etc.) who have been involved in the Pacic Island Countries for many years are invited as speakers to give lectures on various themes related to the Pacic Island Countries (tourism promotion, environmental issues, trade and investment policies, political situation of each country, etc.).Pacic Islanders Club MeetingPacic Islanders Club 懇談会 島嶼国全般に関わる事業・交流において、PICは一般社団法人太平洋協会（JAPIA）をアドバイザーとして、適切な助言を仰ぎながら様々な事業を遂行してきました。 JAPIAは、太平洋島嶼国と日本との友好関係を構築することを目的に、多くの文化・学術交流や地域研究を通して島嶼国の事業に精通した専門的知見を有している組織であり、今後も更なる島嶼国と日本との連携強化に向けて一層の協力関係を築いていきたいと考えております。 In terms of projects and exchanges related to the island countries in general, PIC has been carrying out various projects with the accurate guidance from our advisor, Japan Pacic Islands Association (JAPIA). JAPIA is an organization with expertise in the projects of the Pacic Island Countries through cultural and academic exchanges and regional studies with the aim of building friendships between the Pacic Island Countries and Japan.
