ABOUT PIC 目的に対するPICの役割は、日本と太平洋諸島フォーラム（PIF）加盟国のうち、主に14島嶼国※1（Forum Island Countries, FICs）との間の「貿易」「投資」「観光」分野の促進を通じて、同島嶼国の経済的発展を支援することにあります。 また、これら3つの分野における経済促進をさらに進めるため、日本・島嶼国双方における交流の促進につながる事業も行なっております。※1 14島嶼国（Forum Island Countries, FICs）とは、クック諸島、ミクロネシア連邦、フィジー、キリバス、マーシャル諸島、ナウル、ニウエ、パラオ、パプアニューギニア、サモア、ソロモン諸島、トンガ、ツバル、バヌアツです。 The PIC's role in this objective is to support the economic development of the FICs through the promotion of "Trade," "Investment" and "Tourism" sectors between Japan and mainly 14 Forum Island Countries (FICs※1).
